The Institute of Management Accountants is the world's leading organization dedicated to empowering management accounting and finance professionals to drive business performance. Headquartered in Montvale, New Jersey, it consists of over 70,000 members. The IMA also awards the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in the United States. 2. The IMA's missions is to provide a dynamic forum for management accounting and finance professionals to develop and advance their careers through certification, research and practice development, education, networking, and the advocacy of the highest ethical and professional practices 3. The IMA provides continuing education courses for Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) and professional development programs designed to help management accountants and finance professionals build their careers. 4. Members of IMA shall behave ethically. A commitment to ethical professional practice includes overarching principles that express our values, and standards that guide our conduct. It requires that members comply to the following standards: competence, confidentiality, integrity, and credibility. It lastly provides courses of action for ethical conflicts. 5.
