Name: ____________________________________ Section Number: ____ Recitation Leader’s Name: _____________________________ Homework 1, Due January 23 at the beginning of class The purpose of this homework is to get you familiar with a selection of the plethora of economic statistics that are available on the Internet. Although this is by no means a comprehensive list, these are the websites that I find most useful as an Economics instructor. If you are an Econ major or minor, I strongly recommend that you bookmark these sites so that you have them to use in the future! I strongly suggest that you take the time to complete this assignment carefully to help buffer your grade on the rest of your homeworks. This homework is very different from the homeworks that you will have in the future as the rest of the homeworks will be much more technical than this one. As noted by each question, each question is worth 25% of your homework 1 grade. 1. Open the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) website at www.nber.org .
