Theoretical models of strategic learning, cognition, andmotivation serve as the conceptual basis for the introduction of college-level studentacademic strategies. Students use assessment instruments (e.g., learninginventories) to help them identify their own strengths and weaknesses as strategiclearners. Students are ultimately expected to integrate and apply the learning skillsdiscussed across their own academic programs and become effective and efficientlearners. Students developing these skills should be able to continually draw from thetheoretical models they have learned.Course Rationale/Purpose:The purpose of this course is to provide all interestedstudents with an opportunity to learn and adopt the knowledge, skills, motivation andbehaviors that will enhance their success in learning and in life.Course Student Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this coursestudents will:1.Demonstrate their level of knowledge and actively use the following factors thataffect learning:a.
