The first problem with this system and the reason it was unable to guess my place was many of the questions were pointless . Roughly nine of the 17 questions did not allow for the computer system to learn anything . (I should explain that since three of the questions were actual guesses I discount them completely .) The game obviously works on a neural network . Based on the answers given the computer then decides what questions should be asked next . To me this almost seems like a semantic network inside out . Instead of aiming a conversation towards one specific topic the computer has vast knowledge about the computer is doing the opposite . Trying to utilize its knowledge on all subjects to narrow the topic down to one . Just like a semantic network, based on a particular set of answers, the computer t ries to narrow down the subject to find the correct answer ....
