CSC250 HW 2 We have discussed the idea that there are features of intelligent behavior, which are considered to be key features of intelligent behavior. There were three in particular that were stressed in class notes. There are numerous others mentioned in the assigned readings. We also came up in class with a short list of other intelligent behaviors that we thought were vital in anyone’s definition of intelligence. The following story got a lot of play in the popular news about a year ago. What shortcomings exist in this study? Explain your reasoning. 3. What intelligent features or characteristics of intelligence are also needed for an entity to be considered intelligent. List 10 of them and give a brief description of each, including why it is important. I will start the list off. You can include this. Natural Language ability. The ability to converse and understand in written and spoken natural language. This is our major means of communication with others. It is thought that aside from the rudimentary signaling used by other animals, this ability is one which separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom, etc., etc....
