Hibbeler, Engineering Mechanics, Statics, 11 th Edition, Prentice Hall, 2007 Prerequisites for CEE/ME 241 : Phys 180: Physics for Scientists and Engineers I Course Objective: The main course objective is to develop the ability to analyze any engineering mechanics-Statics problem in a simple and logical manner and apply to its solution a few well understood basic principles. Homework: Homework assignments are due on Wednesdays as indicated on page 3 at the beginning of the class. Assignments will be graded and returned by the instructor. Graded assignments that are not picked up will be kept with the student helper. Solution to homework assignments will be uploaded on the WebCampus course site on Wednesdays afternoon.
