The following figure show a block diagram of a computer system. Briefly (few sentences) explain the functionality of each component shown? [3 Points] Output devices are objects that the computer uses to communicate with the user. Such as a monitor or printer. Processing unit is required for a computer to work. The Processing unit or Central Processing Unit’s (CPU) purpose is to execute computer programs. Everything executed in a computer must go through the CPU. The main memory or (RAM) is known as random access memory; and it is where the computer stores data. This data is only used for short term usage when the computer is turned on. When the computer is turned off, all memory in the main memory is deleted. Most computers today have a couple gigabytes of RAM enabling faster more productive work. Permanent Data Storage
