Stalinist Policies Adopts the program of the left Bolshevicks Insiated the first instalments of the 5 year plans 1928 o Ends economic policy, eliminate capitalism, and to create a truly  socalist govemnet o Collectivise agriculture Industrialization o 3 rd  in industrialzation in the world first 5 year plan (1928-1932) o collectivized agricuture collective farms (kolkhozes) and State Farms  (Sovkhozes) o to fight collectivization many peasants burned their crops in  protest the regime denounced any peasent who was against collectivization  known as kulaks and sent to forced labor prison camps second 5 year plan 1933-1937 o allowed peasent on collective farms to have their own houses,  some livestock, and a garden 3 rd  5 year plan o 1938-1941 ended after the german invasion of Russia the Great Purge o December 1934 Sergi M. Kirov, chief of communist party in Linnengrad,  assassinated by Stalin but blames it on Leon Trotsky o Stalin gets secret police to mass arrest communist party  members in 1936-1938
