Technology in all of its glory Did you know your phone is about 100,000 times more powerful than the computer that Apollo used for the moon landing about 50 years ago? Central processing units and computers in general have come a long way from gigantic heaping cubes that spat out punch cards with holes, to small compact PCBs that can compute upwards of millions or billions of calculations per second. Which is, for lack of a better word amazing! It’s really interesting how billions of super simple and super small (7 times the size of a DNA strand), can workthogher to make quite literally anything on a display. These little things are called transistors, they are everywhere from smartphones, computers, telecomatuion systmes, radios, automation, cars and so many others. These basically switch that turn off and on have fundamentally changed the landscape of our society and how it operates. I think we should take a monet of appreciate all the engineers that made it possible
