Project 3—Computer Science 31 Ahmad El-Arabi When first reading over this project it seemed to be much harder than expected. But after finally beginning to code the program everything seemed to fall into place. The first runs I had at coding the program were slightly difficult, as I tried to write everything “perfectly” the first go around. But this tactic proved to be very ineffective. After seeing that I was running into many problems, I started from scratch and approached the problem one step at a time. For example, when coding for the function, isSongWellFormed, I first wrote code to check whether each digit was a valid character. I then made sure that the number was not a three digit character, but was only one or two digits. Finally I made sure that a letter followed a digit, and in turn a slash followed a letter. I utilized this same strategy for my other function and it made the coding that much easier. The only nagging problem I came upon while writing this program was that I would constantly try to reference a variable outside of the defined string length. Psuedocode:
