The Golden Age of Aviation was quite the booming decade for Ameri - can aviation. Air races, record-breaking flights, and the peak of commercial aviation all went down between the years of 1927 to 1939. As airplanes be - came more sophisticated allowing for longer flights, more passengers, and faster travel, the skies over the United States would see much action. The military would also begin to focus more on air superiority and thus the Golden Age of Aviation was upon us. The Golden Age is what you would see pictures of flight attendants with smiles while serving relaxed passengers as they drank and smoked en- route to their destination. Aircraft manufacturers, such as Boeing, began to design their planes in a way that lower drag was placed upon these metal birds of the sky.
