Twenty-first century. Fast-paced environment. Everyone is in a rush. While trying to keep up with success in our life, represented in material values, we forget about something meaningful: our health, as well as the health of our children. Therefore, today’s influence of industrialized popular culture, especially the influence of the so-called “Macdonaldization” of the world, as well as changes in parental upbringing patterns, are among the main reasons of childhood obesity. So, who do we need to blame first for this disaster? Of course, our parents. First of all, we have to mention the physiological factors of obesity. Parents should be aware of the disposition for obesity. If they have problems with being overweight, they need to make certain steps in order to avoid the same problems with their children in the future. Secondly, parents have to show the youth an example of a healthy life-style. It is a well-known fact that lack of exercise and bad habits in a family, such as smoking, alcoholism
