ESL 151 Spring 2009 Research Paper Schedule You are required to write a short research paper for this class. A research paper is not a report. You must choose a topic and have a thesis statement that is arguable. Your paper must persuade your reader toward your point of view (position). To prepare yourself for writing the paper, you are required to complete some Research Paper Related Assignments that are to be turned in on the dates below. All Research Paper Related Assignments must be typed. Also, each assignment must be completed on a separate piece of paper. Your final research paper will not be accepted if you have not completed ALL the writing assignments prior to it that are listed below. Keep all writing activities; you will need to resubmit all of them when you hand in the final draft of your research paper. You may NOT change your topic once you have submitted this assignment for approval by the instructor (see date below). You may narrow your thesis with the permission of your teacher, but you may not change to another topic. Your research paper will not be accepted if it is different from the thesis approved by
