Unilever Case Class Discussion Questions(1) How would you evaluate Paul Polman’s 2010 decision to implement a new strategy based on the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan? What benefits did it offer? What risks did it present?I feel that Polman’s decision to implement a new business model for Unilever’s corporate strategy placed the company in a better position to achieve future success. It shows that the company is conscious of the great challenges our environment is facing, and how they plan to make a change. The Unilever Sustainable Living Plan aims to link the growth of the company to its environmental impacts. As the company increases in size, its environmental footprint across its value chain will decrease. The USLP plan had three goals for 2020: to help a billion people improve their health and well-being, to halve the environmental footprint of making and using Unilever products, and to enhance the livelihoods of those in its value chain. I personally view Polman’s USLP strategy to be pretty low risk. It’s an investment for the company that relies
