Who Dunnit? – A Murder Mystery RAYMOND GREEN is leisurely sitting on a chair reading a book. He reaches over and takes a sip of his full glass of lemonade. Moments later he falls out of his chair, dead. MRS. GREEN and her friend GWYNETH enter the room stunned… Mrs. Green: And she asked me what… Gwyneth: (interrupting) Janice, Your husband! What Happened! Mrs. Green: (startled) Oh my goodness! Raymond! Honey! (Mrs. Green checks his pulse and begins doing CPR) Gwyneth: This is terrible, I’m so sorry Janice. Is he ok? Mrs. Green: (sobbing) He’s dead… He has no pulse, no breath, he’s just dead. How could this happen? We were only out on the porch for an hour or so. Gwyneth: I don’t know. I never saw anyone come or leave the house. Gwyneth: I’ll go call the police and tell them what happened. You stay here. Mrs. Green: (still crying) My husband’s dead, where am I going to go? 2 men enter the room, an officer and a detective. Mrs. Green is still by her husband crying. Gwyneth: Officer, you’re here sooner than expected, thank you so much for coming. Wait… where are the rest of the police, where’s the ambulance? Officer Hanks: I’m sorry Ma’am, you live 4 miles outside of the city in the middle of nowhere and you said the man is dead, so me and detective Swanson over there is all you’re going to get.

Det. Swanson: (talking to Mrs. Green) We’re going to find out who committed this awful crime Miss Green. I won’t leave this house until someone is behind bars. Mrs. Green: (wipes away her tears and shakes the detectives hand) Thank you detective, my husband was my whole life, I don’t know what I’ll do without him. We’ve only been married for 5 years… he had so much in front of him. He was such a smart, kind, honorable man. There were so many things we wanted to do together: ski, travel, have a family… But that’s all gone now. Bring this terrible murderer to justice, do it for my Raymond. Off. Hanks: Don’t worry Mrs. Green. Your husband will be avenged. Swanson, go to work. DETECTIVE SWANSON walks up to the crime scene with a shy smirk on his face. He crouches in front of the victim and feels him, then, taking out a looking glass examines the area.
