Isabel Romero 3/21/19 Seat #17 Period 2 Checklist Activity 4.1.2 Range of Motion Intro (3) Sentence Summary 1) The Range of Motion studies address the movement and motion of the bodies joints and measure the flexibility. 2) Apparently being double jointed doesn't mean you have more joints but rather more flexible joints. 3) Using goniometers we can measure angles of the joints. #1 Define (11) terms 1) Depression: A movement in which a muscle with its joint move in a downwards fashion. 2) Elevation:The opposite of depression and the movement is in an upwards banner. 3) Rotation: The movement in which an bone or part of the body moves around a single axis. 4) Circumduction: The movement that includes flexion, adduction, abduction, extension and revolves in a circular path. 5) Flexion: The movements on the sagittal plane and it decreases bone angles. 6) Extension: Similar to flexion in occurrence but it straightness joints rather than bending.
