I. Purpose The purpose of this lab was to understand the concepts of measuring and predicting VO 2 max. The two methods we used were the Astrand Rhyming test, which I only observed, and the direct measurement of VO 2 max, which I participated in. Also covered in the lab were the principles and concepts of expressing VO 2 max in relative and absolute units, as well as the effects of state of training and body composition in VO 2 max. The lab showed us how to interpret and apply aerobic capacity results as well as how to determine our individual aerobic capacity classification. A few sentences Brief and to the point II. Results 1.
