Composition # 1 : When : The last 30 minutes of class on Wednesday, September, 19 th . Topic : Will be given to you in class on Monday, September, 17 th . Materials : You need to bring a Blue Book and something to write with. You may not use a dictionary or a verb book during the composition process. Grading : The first draft of the composition will be graded for content (organization, creativity, use of vocabulary) and for grammatical accuracy. Granted amount of specificity and length also play a role in the grading process. The required length for the first composition is 100 words. You can always write more, but writing significantly less will not allow you to earn the grade you believe you deserve. The first draft of the composition counts for 80%. Second Draft :Your professor will collect the first drafts at the end of 30 minutes and later hand them back for corrections. The corrections will be done outside of class and turned in on the date indicated by your instructor. The corrections count for 20%.
