If you can minimize inventory, where you get the inventory shortly before you need it then you have less money stagnant in inventory. 7.Accounts payable- maybe pay off in 10 days and take advantage of discounts from creditors What are the firms short term needs? Salaries- Working Capital- Utilities- Accounts payable- o Short term sources Trade Credit- “2/10 net 30” Promissory notes Secured loan- you use an asset as collateral
