Dweck 1 Abraham Dweck Professor Swanson EN102 / In-Class Essay 23 February 2009 The Solution to Tuition: The Kindle Both in and out of the classroom college students come face to face with challenges on a daily basis. One of the many challenges is the high price of tuition and more importantly the high cost of books. One solution to this problem is the Amazon Kindle, not only does it save each student money but it also is safe for the environment and is more adapt to the new generation that is now headed to college. With the price of tuition going up every year, many college students are trying to find a cheaper alternative to cover the rest of their collegiate costs. The one item that is a constant for every college student is the price of books. According to Collegeboard.com, in 2008-2009 the average college student will spend approximately $1,077 on books (Collegeboard.com). That means that over a four year span the average college student spends $4,308 on books, which is half the tuition at the average community college and one fifth of the cost of tuition at a
