Ability Tests) say best viewed as sys way of gathering samples of school- Standford-Binet - first so-called intell test pub in 1905 - Alfred Binet developed used 2 predict which child would do well & which wouldn’t in sch - Binet’s tests directly sampled skills needed in sch (verb comprehen, numer skills, log reasoning, fine motor coord, etc) - develop std’ized tests of these skills & admin in std’ized ways 4
