Diego Hernando Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Chem 107-514 Experiment 3: Pressure, Volume, & Temperature: Discovery of the Gas Laws Summary: Experiment 3 is all about the gas laws. We measured pressure in a couple of ways, using a syringe attached to a pressure sensor and using a flask. When we used the syringe we kept temperature constant and changed volume, and when we used the flask we kept volume constant and changed the temperature using a water bath. Our results show that when the volume increases pressure decreases and when the volume decreases the pressure increases (temperature constant). Also, when the temperature increases pressure increases, and when the temperature decreases pressure decreases (volume constant).
