Consider two events at a 500room metropolitan hotel: 1) the hotel has a no
show and 2) the hotel walks a guest.
Assume the probability of having a noshow is 0.40
and the probability of walking a guest is 0.10.
If it is known the probability of having a
noshow and walking a guest is .06, then:
A) What is the probability the hotel has a noshow and does not have to walk a
guest?
B) What is the probability the hotel does not have a noshow and a guest is not
walked?
C) If the hotel has a noshow, what is the probability that a guest will be walked?
