Interested in natural occurring formations known as zeolites.  See pores, there is  activity in the pores. (ie, formation of silicon oxide) Zeoloites and its Applications     Reaction: if one puts calcium with zeolite in water, there will be an ion transfer  such that the calcium will be placed within the zeolite. Ion Exchange: water softener Adsorption and separation   o Air (medical grade oxygen) o Hydrocarbons Catalysis Zeolites have 180 structures o 1 dimensional: MOR, AFI, AET, TON o 3 d: MFI, MEL o Cages and Windows: FAU, LAT CHA ERI
