Abstract (4) The aim of this experiment is to examine the resistive elements in circuits using Ohm’s Law. Mathematically, Ohm’s Law can be written as V = I*R. We found the equivalent resistance in series and parallel combinations and then graphed the components to prove it is a linear function. The Amp meter and the voltage source were used to form the different circuits. A nonOhmic resistor was also tested in order to show that the graph in this particular case is exponential and not a linear relationship. In parallel, the experimental value of resistance of 33.902±.015 Ώ compares closely to the theoretical value of 33.92±.07 Ώ. In series, resistance of 148.4±.4 Ώ also compares closely to the theoretical value of 148.33±.603 Ώ.
