Experiment Title + Date Prelab Section – Objective – Be specific on which ideas/techniques you’ll be applying, the logic behind them and the compounds you’ll be doing them on in the experiment. 3-4 senteces will should suffice. Pre-lab info: Include relevant data such as compound properties. DRAW ALL RELEVANT COMPOUND STRUCTURES. Add any other info which you might find helpful throughout the lab. Also, don't forget the pre-lab notes from the board including experiment hazards. Procedure/Observations Section – There are several ways you can set these up but I suggest the following: Procedure 1. Weigh out 100 mg of compound x. 10 mL flask. 2. Add 1.0 mL acetone mix. 3. Filter thru Hirsh funnel. Filtrate cent. Tube. 4. Solid residue 10 mL flask. Add CH 2 Cl 2 . 5. Filter again thru Hirsh funnel. Filtrate cent. Tube. Observations Weighed out 102 mg of x (white powder) X dissolved completely in acetone Filtrate turned orange (?) Solid residue did not dissolve completely Filtrate still orange but dilute

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
