The commodity form - A product is anything that is produced by means of the forces of production - A commodity is any product that is exchanged or is intended for exchange - Products or objects can have some use value - All commodities have use values - Its only when a product is involved in a exchange relationship that it becomes a commodity -For something to be a commodity, means that there has to have been human labor involved in producing it - Social relations between social producers translates another social relation -The commodity form, and the value ration between commodities has nothing to do with the physical properties from the physical objects that are made it’s the social relations, the human relations that values from eh particular commodity 2. Commodity fetishism -The simplest and most universal example of the way n which the economic forms of capitalism conceal the underlying social relations of production
