1 Worcester Polytechnic Institute Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ECE 2011 —Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering Prelab for Project #2: Electrocardiogram All of your prelab work is to be submitted along with your laboratory notes at the conclusion of your laboratory session and will represent a significant portion of the grade that you achieve for the project. For the circuit shown in Figure 1 below, show that v OUT = 10 v 2 v 1 ) () Hint: superposition! Figure 1 Note: Be sure to complete your prelab IN INK and on GRAPH PAPER!!

3 Worcester Polytechnic Institute Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering EE2011 —Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering Project #2: Op-amp Noninverting Gain Op-amp Inverting Gain Electrocardiogram Amplifier 1. Introduction Remember : You must document the entire experiment in your laboratory notes. The notes should include: The date and time . Your partner’s name . The identity number of the laboratory bench at which you are working. The schematic diagrams of any circuits that you build. This is very important because, without them, your notes will make no sense to you at a later time. The results of any measurements made in the laboratory. These should be neatly tabulated or graphed—if appropriate— and labeled. Observations that are requested in the laboratory instruction. Your own thoughts about the experiment. Do the results make sense? Are they surprising in any way? Would you do anything differently if you had the opportunity to repeat the laboratory project? Keep these remarks brief and to the point.
