Canadians Capture Vimy! April 14 th  1917                                                       The Ally’s attack on the heavily defended Vimy Ridge in the north of France  ended yesterday with a clear Ally victory over the Germans.  The attack that started on  the ninth of April was a huge success.  The Canadian forces took the majority of the ridge  in a matter of hours.  This battle was the first time all of the divisions of the Canadian  Corps fought together.  The Canadians suffered many casualties but this attack was still
