The Effects of Solar, Wind, and Renewable Resources on Oil Dependency 1 The Effects of Solar, Wind, and Renewable Resources on Oil Dependency 2/9/2020 GENS320- Physical Geography Our world has been dependent on oil and other non-renewable resources for a very long
The Effects of Solar, Wind, and Renewable Resources on Oil Dependency 2 time, so much so that we have fought and harmed one another just to obtain it. Because of this fact scientists and scholars have been looking into ways to create energy using renewable resources such as water, wind, and solar energy. These attempts have shown some promise and look to change the way our nations depend on oil. In the United States alone we used roughly 11% renewable energy to fuel the country. The breakdown is provided in this graph from . Image provided by . As can be seen, the United States used a majority of hydroelectric power and wind to maintain our energy levels which can be accessed from a lot of areas within the states. These numbers are expected to rise as we look for sustainable resources and formulate more efficient ways to use the renewable ones that we have already discovered. Another factor that is being considered
