The Mob 10/11/2008 13:27:00 The center of Rome developed into a tribute to the greatness of the empire The central building was the senate house, where they would meet to make  decisions. Also lots of public halls, places for tribunals and court cases, great for theater On your way into Rome, travel down a perfectly straight road, the apian way,  past fields of crops, and see Rome off in the distance.  You could not bury your dead  within the city of Rome, so many people were buried along the road into the city I. Forum II. Death Tombs leading into the city of Rome No graves allowed inside the city, physical and spiritual pollution Most people buried in Communal sites, cremation is the standard method of  burial, there were rooms with many people’s ashes set in them in orderly rows The tombs along the road into Rome have inscriptions on them with pictures,
