Summary: Background: World Indigo was a company founded in 2003 with the aim of becoming a global wireless network operator that provided passengers onboard airplanes and ferries with access to text messaging (SMS), voice & Internet via their mobile phones. It was a bi-locational start-up with its headquarters in Singapore and an office in Philadelphia, US. Current issues: The team is preparing to present the business to potential investors for their first round of funding, and they have to obtain the certification of FAA with CAAS’s help before the business runs into operation. Product and service (Revenue sources): They will sell the hardware CG 101 device to airlines and ferries, and charge passengers in-vehicle communication service fees. Target markets: Airline segment mainly targets to China, Russia, other parts of Asia, Europe regions first, and then enter into US market, short-haul airlines; Ferry segment mostly targets to Europe and Asia.
