Any constraints on the schedule? Can these constraints be met? Parallel implementation is a method for transferring between an old ( IT ) system to a target (IT) system in an organization. In order to reduce risk, the old and new system run simultaneously for some period of time after which, if the criteria for the new system are met, the old system is disabled. The process requires careful planning and control and a significant investment in labor hours. Joint application development (JAD) session – where employees meet to define or review the business requirements for the system – Interviews – Questionnaires – Observations – Review business documents Business requirement – detailed set of business requests that the system must meet in order to be successful Development phase – involves taking all of the detailed design documents from the design phase and transforming them into the actual system...
