BIS PQ 9 9. When cells from normal breast tissue were compared to cells from cancerous tissue for their expression of the growth factor receptor erbB2, it was found that cells from some cancers have amplification of the ERBB2 gene and over-expression of the erbB2 protein. This correlation establishes that erbB2 may play a role in breast cancer.
