Exercise 2: Analog to Digital Conversion Step 1: Before beginning this exercise, be sure to read Appendix VI: Introduction to DAQmx Data Acquisition Programming, Appendix I: Using the Protoboard and Appendix II: Using Visual Studio. In this exercise we will use the program “ADC_example.cpp” to record voltages on two of the 16 analog input channels available on the NI 6221 DAQ card. Here is the program, with some parts left out for you to complete. Consult NIDAQ C Reference Help in the A&EP 2640 folder for details on the native C functions used in this program. Look through this code and make sure that you understand it. There are certain parts of the code that are left out for you to complete. They are indicated with a // !!Do something here !! Comment. Information needed to complete this exercise will be found in Appendix VI: Introduction to DAQmx Data Acquisition Programming. The code for ADC_example.cpp can be found in the course packet.
