Unformatted text preview: World War I 1. What is the Black Hand?- In May 1911, ten men in Serbia formed the Black Hand Secret Society. The main objective of the Black Hand was the creation, by means of violence, of a Greater Serbia. Its stated aim was: "To realize the national ideal, the unification of all Serbs. This organisation prefers terrorist action to cultural activities; it will therefore remain secret." 2. Who is Princip?- On 28 June 1914 Gavrilo Princip assassinated the archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo 3. Who were the central Power and Allies?- Central Power: German Empire, Autrian-Hungarian Empire, Ottoman Empire and Kingdom of Bulgaria. Allies: France, United Kingdom, United States and Russia 4. Where did WWI start?- It started in Sarajevo with the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. 5. Woodrow Wilson- He was the 28th president of the United States and he served during WWI. 6.
