In words, summarize the conclusions of the SLR analyses above. Which predictors show evidence of affecting birth weight? Of the four predictors above, which provides the most explanatory power? There is overwhelming statistical evidence that height, weight, and gestation period all have an effect on birth weight. Each of these predictors are positively associated with the child’s birth weight. However, despite the overwhelming statistical evidence, the proportion of variability measured by each predictor is still quite small. Gestation period has the most explanatory power, but still only explains 16.6% of the variability in birth weight. There is no evidence that the mother’s age affects the weight of the child. 3.
