CENG 101A FLUID MECHANICS D.MILLER FALL 2009 9/24/09 TEXT : “Fundamentals of Momentum, Heat, and Mass Transfer” by Welty, Wicks, Wilson, and Rorrer; 5 th edition (2007); Chap 1-14 (selected topics from each chapter will be assigned) PRE-REQUISITES: It is assumed that you have studied the equivalent of Physics 2A,B, C and Math 20D (differential equations) and 20 E (vectors calculus). EXAMS : Five exams will be given in class every other Thursday , beginning 10/8/09. There will be no make-up exams for any reason.! Unless announced otherwise ahead of time, all exams are CLOSED BOOK – no notes or other papers. Bring pencils and calculators to all exams. FINAL : The final exam is scheduled for Tuesday, December 8, 8-11am, in 113 CH . A make up exam will be provided only for a medical reason with proper documentation from a physician. HOMEWORK : Homework will be assigned each week and due by a specific time during the following week. Homework can be turned in at class or at 380 EBUII (slip papers under door
