Wanted the Native Americans to stay north of the York River 4. 1607-20,000 Natives, 1669-2,000 Natives left, 1689-considered extinct 5. 3 D’s for English interaction: Disease- smallpox and measles, Disorganization- “Confederacy” wasn't unified enough, Disposable- Natives didn’t have anything the English needed- land, labor, food, goods (unlike Spanish South) II. Change A. Change is good but too much is chaos 1. Firearms are introduced 2. A lot of trade and barter goes on (ex.
