Laura Simon English 110-931 Professor Burns 2/9/07 College; Guide to Success In American society, an education means a life of opportunity and success. Education is highly valued by most families and a good percentage of students end up going to college. However, some do not have the means to go to a university because of economic situations. College is very expensive and the price of tuition is only rising and scholarships, in the most part, do not cover enough of the expenses. Also, financial aide is not always enough to cover expenses and has to be paid back after attending college. The high cost of college has not driven away my desire to further my education. I believe that college comes with many great opportunities for success, knowledge, and character development. College is an integral part of my education. I value education very highly and I try to attain the best education that I can possibly have. My mother is a teacher so she has instilled in me the educational values that I have today.
