I STAND ALONE By Karna Upadhyay My various moves are calculated steps To get through a life with close to no regrets Although it might be a hard thing to do A life without purpose makes a rich man rue Rue the day he accepted he was plain and normal Now he looks in the mirror every day with horror And when he dreams, he wonders why He’s not happy with all that his money he can buy But I know why the rich man weeps It’s because he chose to crawl instead of stand on his feet
