Gender Bias Presentation Questions 1.) How early does gender bias appear in the life of an adolescent? - At Birth or even beforehand fathers will or mothers might express bias over which sex they’d prefer in a child, and later on definite biases will begin to appear in a child’s life ( -What are some examples of these?) - Girls wear the colors pink, purple -Girls wear heels, bows in their hair, long hair, tight pants, -Girls are expected to play with Barbie, dolls, playing house, shopping -Guys wear blue, red, baseball caps, short hair. -Guys-Toy soldiers, cars, trucks, videogames, sports 2.) Is privileged something your born with as a man or a women, or is privilege  learned through social roles? Both. These privileges are pre-assigned as they’ve  already been predefined by society, prior to a child’s birth, and the reinforced  throughout an individual’s life.  3.) What roles or situations do women learn to participate in, inside and outside of the class room and how are these roles and situations reinforced by a school’s hidden curriculum? -girls learn that helplessness is “attractive”
