Unfortunately, ink was spilled on the original copy, and all that we were able to read was the following: Team Games Played Games Won Games Lost Games Tied Goals Scored Goals Scored Against them A 2 2 B 2 C 2 1 3 I was showing this to my TA, Tim, who is a member of the A team and an intelligent person. He knew the complete details of all the games. After a little thought he said, “It’s interesting that the facts happen to be such that if you knew the total number of goals scored by A, you would be able to fill up the table and find the score in every match.

Solution: Team Games Played Games Won Games Lost Games Tied Goals Scored Goals Scored Against them A 2 2 4 1 B 2 1 1 2 4 C 2 1 1 3 4 A vs. B = (2, 0) A vs. C = (2, 1) B vs. C = (2, 2) Explanation: If team A only played two games and it given they won two, hence they lost and tied zero games. In order for them to have won two games, they had to beat the other teams giving them at least one lost each. Is given team C tied once plus one game lost and therefore zero won since they played only twice. Team B had to tie to another team and by elimination it was B because A won its two games....
