2FIELD EXPERIENCE INTERVIEWSSchool Psychologist and Administrator InterviewsIn this block of field experience assignments, I conducted interviews with the SchoolPsychologist at Washington Middle School in Olympia, WA, Erik Green, as well as the AssistantPrincipal at Reeves Middle School in Olympia, WA, Karen Zarate about their role in theirschools special education programs. During the interviews, I was able to gain information aboutthe school staff wide teamwork that goes into developing an effective special education program,while also learning about real life applications of concepts which we have learned in class. Byasking Erik and Karen seven of the same questions regarding their role in multiple aspects ofspecial education, as well as a specific question to each of the team members, the inner workingsof public school special education programs came to light. I will now break down the questionsthat I asked each of my interviewees, follow up with the school setting for each, as well asreflecting on how I will use my findings in my future professional practice.
