Solomon 1 Jennifer N Solomon Business Ethics Case 3-3 9/21/2009 Growing up in a family where we had many family businesses I was taught the importance of ethics. The one thing that I will always remember is the statement that my grandfather always told me was “all a man has is his words”. As a young woman about to graduate college and go into the business world this plays such an important part of how I will conduct business once I get my first job. In this case study I will explain what the ethical issues are and why I feel that what Frank Waldron did was unethical, Which norms I would use in backing up my decision that he is acting in an unethical manor, along with what advice I would give Frank. I feel that the ethical issues that are present in this case is that he is essentially deceiving not only one company but both companies into giving him the full amount even though he should have been honest. Not only does this have an unethical impact of what he is doing right now but it can also have a large impact of how he is to conduct business in the future. If he is
