Jennifer Solomon Hunger of Memory 10/30/08 There were two main justice issues that were brought up in the book Hunger of Memory . The first justice issue that I would like to talk about that was mentioned in the book was bilingual education in school while the second justice issue was affirmative action. In the book Rodriguez disagrees with both bilingual education and affirmative action. Personally I feel that bilingual education is needed to a certain extent when it comes to schools. You can not just throw a student who speaks only Spanish into a classroom where all teaching is in English and all the students speak only English. This will not allow the student to learn but in a way go into themselves. Although on the other hand I do not believe that these students should be in a class for a long period of time separated into little groups where they feel comfortable with each other and do not make an attempt to learn the new language. I feel that these students should be put in a class
