Unformatted text preview: I’m currently going to Axia College. Axia College is the online portion of University of Phoenix. Axia is exceptional; I don’t have to be in a specific place at a specific time. The students can log on at different times. The facilitator logs on throughout the day specific days out of the week. We call this asynchronous communication. We communicate through a forum. The forum is a place where students and facilitators post assignments and questions. A forum is like a forest. The assignments are like a tree, also known as threads. The responses are the branches. The class contains four forums. One is the “Main” forum where the facilitators post general information, students also post answers to discussion questions. Another forum is the “Chat Room” forum where in students or the facilitator post items that don’t pertain to the course. Additionally there is a “Course Material” forum. In this forum, as one may have guessed, is where materials to read and assignments are posted. Lastly there is an “Individual” forum.
