Also read text sections 1.1-1.3. Material covered: 1. Course title: Communication Systems, EEE455 and EEE591 Textbook: Communication Systems Engineering by same authors (Proakis, Salehi) Supplementary: Contemporary Communications Systems using Matlab Lab: EEE455 students required to take lab. Pre-requisite: EEE302, 303 and EEE350. A good grasp on linear systems and probability. 2. Instructors Professor Joseph Hui (GWC411, 965-5188, jhui@asu.edu ) Office hours: Tuesday, Thursday 3-5PM. Lab TA: Mr. Youngwook Ko Grader: TBD 3. Grading policy Two quizzes 10/12/06 and 12/5/06 in class, covering first and second half of course Each quiz constitutes 25% of grade each for EEE455, 40% for EEE591 10 homework for a total of 15% of grade for EEE455, 20% for EEE591 5 or 6 labs for 25% of grade for EEE455. 4.
