2/17/2009 Sports Marketing Sports Audit On February 17, 2009 I attended the Colorado Avalanche game. They were scheduled to play the Ottawa Senators, which are doing a lot better than the Avalanche at this moment. The game started at 7:30 and I had just gotten off work at 5. I was not sure on the ticket situation, not sure if they had sold out or there would be any at the box office. So I got on craigslist and began to look for tickets and found a good deal. 4 tickets in the Suites for $50 total. What a deal. So some friends and I took a trip down to the Pepsi Center for a good ol’ fashioned hockey game. Once we were seated I began to look around for the big sponsors. The Denver Post, Key Bank, Chipotle, Life water, Amp, Conoco, Coors Light, and the Denver Mattress Company were just few of the companies who received a spot of advertising along the boards.
