Mike Heaton Eng. 121-001 Reney Lordich 3 October 2009 This Way for the Gas Ladies and Gentlemen I had a hard time reading this story. It seems like all the stories that we have read all highlight the worst in people and this one by far puts the icing on the cake. To live in a concentration camp would have been a miserable life experience. I could not even imagine being starved to the brink of dearth and then being forced to do manual labor. When they started talking about the people who were forced to unload the trains I was thinking that that would have been a million times worse than just living in the camps. I

This story was very depressing and paints horrible pictures in the readers mind. I don’t like stories like that but what is sad is that this is what actually happened. I don’t know if the purpose of these stories is to educate people to recognize similar cases in the future and try to prevent this from happening again or if they are just stories. Hopefully there will never be another Holocaust again. It always amazes me how inhumane and insane some people can be....
